High Street Fashion Week Preview

On Monday I was invited to the High Street Fashion Week Press Preview at London's Penthouse to see the brands that will be taking part in the event this week.

With beautiful panoramic views of London it was great to get a sneak peek.

What I wore:
I am a little obsessed with this Orange lip stick, from Topshop the shade is  called 'Infra Red' and it is almost an exact match to my Nails Inc 'Portobello' varnish.

Here is a snapshot of some of the brands that caught my eye.

I thought these Swarovski Crystal bottles from Crystal Elegance make great gifts.

Saw some really lovely Bespoke Beachwear pieces from J Banks

I really liked both these dresses from TOWIE star Lydia Brights range for Lipstick Boutique, I especially like the flapper look to the sequin dress below and they felt of a good quality compared to some other reality TV celebs that bring out clothing.
Available at Lipstick Boutique.

A small selection on show from knitwear designer Zoie Anne who was absolutely lovely.
Looking forward to seeing more from her at the Catwalk shows.

Some pretty Bikinis and swimwear from The Holiday Boutique

However my favourite has to be the collection from Fazane Malik, making no more than 50 of each item, the concept behind the label is to produce classic capsule collections that will fit easily in to any working woman's wardrobe.
Using natural fabrics such as silk and wool the collection has a real luxury feel to it.

Currently stocked in 11 boutiques and online e-tailers across the UK, Australia and America, I look forward to seeing more from this brand.
Available at Fazane Malik

Beyoncé for H&M unveiled

The rumour's have been circulating for months since one of the global superstar's dancers let slip on Twitter that they were in the Bahamas shooting for H&M, but now it is official.

The all round entertainer will appear in television and print ads featuring pieces from the Sweedish High Street chains summer collection. The ads will introduce "Beyoncé as Mrs.Carter in H&M", the idea is that all women can be all things: strong, vulnerable, sensual, maternal, fun and flirtatious.

"I've always liked H&M's focus of fun and affordable fashion. I really loved the concept we collaborated on to explore the different emotions of women represented by the four elements - fire, water, earth and wind. It was a beautiful shoot on a tropical island. It felt more like making a video than a commercial," says Beyoncé.

In the campaign Beyoncé is wearing key pieces from H&M that you need for a life in the sun, they include a bodycon dress, statement flowing sun dresses, and bikinis.

Ann-Sofie Johansson, Head of Design at the company said "What makes these pieces even more special is that Beyoncé herself had input into the design, and they are full of her own personal style"

One of the swimwear pieces, the tie-dye bikini is from this summer's H&M for Water Collection, a collection they do once a year in which 25% of sales will be donated to WaterAid.

The campaign was shot by photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, whilst the commercial element was directed by Jonas Akerlund and features a new song from Beyoncé named 'Standing On The Sun'
The full edited version of the commercial will be available to view online at hm.com from the beginning of May.
The clothing will also be available from early May, in stores worldwide and online.

This ties in nicely for the artist who kicks off another world tour 'The Mrs. Carter Show' this April, for which I still don't have tickets. Boo.
I will have to settle for a piece of the collection instead.

High Street Fashion Week

Fashion month may be finally over but High Street Fashion Week is fast approaching.

From the 26th-28th April held at East London's BoxPark in Shoreditch, the worlds first pop up mall.
High Street Fashion week brings together womenswear, footwear, beauty, lingerie and accessories all under one roof.

The event will take place over three days and is divided into two parts; a pop up boutique exhibition allowing you to shop the collections and the latter part of the event will be an exclusive runway show that will be held in Aura in Mayfair.

Vanity Van, the UK's leading mobile beauty treatment supplier are styling the catwalk team and will also be on hand in the VIP suite offering complimentary beauty treatments (can't wait). Also in the VIP suite will be My Chocolate, offering some sweet treats and Megabooth will also be there to capture moments from the day!

Brands I am most looking forward to seeing are Chic and Geek, Dissimilar Apparel, Lili Marie Boutique , and Frills by AD

It always feels good when you source out new brands and support independent businesses.
