Happy Easter

I love Spring time, although it don't feel like it with this freezing weather but Easter weekend is here.

These are some cupcakes I made today, I have recently had lots of enquiries for up coming press days, so if you like the look of these check out my facebook page here

We celebrate Easter similar to Christmas in my family, now we are older we tend to receive a gift instead of an egg, and I love to treat to the children I know (too much chocolate is bad for them anyway).
Sainsbury's has some lovely pieces in and they're easy on the bank balance.

I especially love this cute Cupcake cardigan £9 and the Chanel inspired dress with Peter Pan collar  which also comes with leggings and only £12, perfect for my little cousins whom I love to dress up!

Have a great Easter Weekend

Scents of Spring

I have always been a bit of a Pyromaniac, which perhaps explains my obsession with candles.... Expensive scented candles in particular.

However, I am on an increasingly tight budget and can't really justify treating myself to a beautiful Diptyque, or Jo Malone candle at the moment so I was very excited when I saw The Disney Store, (yes, Disney) had bought out their 'Wonder' scent in a candle.

I first came across this scent when buying a gift for my friends baby, the collection includes linen spray,  hand creams, body oils and bath soaks (and a cute baby Thumper Rabbit soft toy).

'Wonder' is a delicate scent of lemon sugar, apple blossoms and marshmallow clouds, and just smells so Spring-like.
In frosted glass with a sleeping Bambi sketch, I like to light mine in the evenings just before bed as I find the scent very relaxing, almost camomile like. With approximately 40 hours burning time, Disney's scented candle is a bargain at just £10.00!!

Another great candle I would recommend is from the Cowshed range, the 'Knackered Cow' candle is great for relaxing candle lit bubble baths used with 'Knackered Cow Relaxing Bath & Body Oil'.

If you're still unsure as to what scented candle suits you best, head to Liberty London. They have the most wonderful selection to chose from.

Beyoncé for H&M unveiled

The rumour's have been circulating for months since one of the global superstar's dancers let slip on Twitter that they were in the Bahamas shooting for H&M, but now it is official.

The all round entertainer will appear in television and print ads featuring pieces from the Sweedish High Street chains summer collection. The ads will introduce "Beyoncé as Mrs.Carter in H&M", the idea is that all women can be all things: strong, vulnerable, sensual, maternal, fun and flirtatious.

"I've always liked H&M's focus of fun and affordable fashion. I really loved the concept we collaborated on to explore the different emotions of women represented by the four elements - fire, water, earth and wind. It was a beautiful shoot on a tropical island. It felt more like making a video than a commercial," says Beyoncé.

In the campaign Beyoncé is wearing key pieces from H&M that you need for a life in the sun, they include a bodycon dress, statement flowing sun dresses, and bikinis.

Ann-Sofie Johansson, Head of Design at the company said "What makes these pieces even more special is that Beyoncé herself had input into the design, and they are full of her own personal style"

One of the swimwear pieces, the tie-dye bikini is from this summer's H&M for Water Collection, a collection they do once a year in which 25% of sales will be donated to WaterAid.

The campaign was shot by photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, whilst the commercial element was directed by Jonas Akerlund and features a new song from Beyoncé named 'Standing On The Sun'
The full edited version of the commercial will be available to view online at hm.com from the beginning of May.
The clothing will also be available from early May, in stores worldwide and online.

This ties in nicely for the artist who kicks off another world tour 'The Mrs. Carter Show' this April, for which I still don't have tickets. Boo.
I will have to settle for a piece of the collection instead.

High Street Fashion Week

Fashion month may be finally over but High Street Fashion Week is fast approaching.

From the 26th-28th April held at East London's BoxPark in Shoreditch, the worlds first pop up mall.
High Street Fashion week brings together womenswear, footwear, beauty, lingerie and accessories all under one roof.

The event will take place over three days and is divided into two parts; a pop up boutique exhibition allowing you to shop the collections and the latter part of the event will be an exclusive runway show that will be held in Aura in Mayfair.

Vanity Van, the UK's leading mobile beauty treatment supplier are styling the catwalk team and will also be on hand in the VIP suite offering complimentary beauty treatments (can't wait). Also in the VIP suite will be My Chocolate, offering some sweet treats and Megabooth will also be there to capture moments from the day!

Brands I am most looking forward to seeing are Chic and Geek, Dissimilar Apparel, Lili Marie Boutique , and Frills by AD

It always feels good when you source out new brands and support independent businesses.
