Biker Chick In The Sun

Just like everyone else I am enjoying the sunny weather, so much so today marked the first day this year I have gone out with bare legs. And damnnnn gurl it felt good to let them see a bit of Vitamin D.

I teamed  a simple t-shirt dress with my old DM's and this gorgeous leather jacket that actually belongs to my friend (Ooops) unbrushed hair and big sunglasses and I was set to go for the day.

What I'm wearing: Dress - H&M, Jacket - Topshop, Boots - Dr.Martens, Bag - Topshop, Scarf - H&M.

I also visited a new location to carry out a shoot in today. It's in the grounds of where my boss lives, a beautiful period Manor House named Gilstead Hall in Essex that has been converted in to flats but with the most beautiful surroundings. Can't wait to shoot there, especially if this nice weather stays.

"Never Under Estimate the Power of Social Media"

Today I attended the Fashion and Beauty Summit (#FB_Summit) arranged by Fashion Insight and held at ROSL, St.James Street in London. Seminars were heavily based on PR, and Social Media and how to create your own. There were talks from the founder of Wahanda, Marie Claire, A Suit That Fits and Mumsnet
I am a bit of a social media obsessed freak as much as I hate to admit it, I am included in the 70% that check their Twitter and Facebook first thing in the morning before my feet even touch the ground, and one of the 21% who wake up in the middle of the night and check it, so found it all rather interesting.

It was also nice to get out of the office for the day, so I even dressed up a bit.

What I wore: Blazer -Topshop, Trousers - Forever 21, Shirt - H&M, Shoes - Topshop, Earrings - Topshop, Necklace - Vintage, Sunglasses - Aldo.

Fur too much??

So Kanye West has been at it again... No not throwing temper tantrums and shouting at little girls on stage but giving it another go on the Catwalk (designing not modelling). Good on him for not giving up after getting slated by the Fashion Press last season.

Now I know I am going to sound like a hypocrite, as I love a bit of fur, although most of the fur I own is either faux or vintage (I see this as some sort of justification), but I was actually horrified when I found out the sources of the materials used by West in his show in Paris this week.
Fabrics such as Astrakhan is actually the fur of an unborn lamb. The sheep is slaughtered, with the unborn lamb ripped from its mothers womb.
Perhaps I've been living in Fashion La La Land to not realise such ghastly methods were used, but it has certainly turned me off.
Apart from that there was nothing else that grabbed my attention from the collection... It felt all very samey.
Another turn off was Kanye's 'good friend' (We've all heard the rumours) Kim Kardashian sat in the FROW, in a cream fur stole (of course). I just have a thing against 'reality' TV stars.

I like Kanye and his music, I am even going to the Watch The Throne tour in May but think he should stick to the day job.... because that 'ish cray - and not in a good way!

Astrakhan grey vest - made from the foetus of a Lamb.

Black Fur back pack.

P.Diddy, Kim Kardashian and other Rap Stars were all at the show, many in fur.
